Vrindavan, 2014.10.21 (VT): A huge concrete gate will be built in memory of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu on the occasion of the 500th years of Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s arrival in Vrindavan. This Chaitanya Dwar will be built on the Mathura-Vrindavan Road near Akrur village, which is where Mahaprabhu first came. The procedures to get the permission from the government departments are being followed.
It was declared in a conference of the Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Panchashati Samaroh Samiti organized at the Gambhira in Jai Singh Ghera. Many devotees, Acharyas and saints were present during the meeting.
Inaugurating the conference by worshiping the image of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Vrinda Devi, Acharya Shrivatsa Goswami said that an international conference should be organized on the life and works of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It will create more awareness of the glories of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the importance of the sankirtan movement in this age of Kali. He suggested that exhibitions, lectures, drama, cinema and mass prasadam distribution should be organized in memory of Mahaprabhu’s arrival in Vrindavan.
IPS VK Gupta informed that a grand celebration will be organized on November 6th, Raas Purnima, on the day of Mahaprabhu’s arrival in Vrindavan. Dr. Vinod Banerjee, convener of the committee, presented a plan to celebrate the 500th centenary.
Swami B.A. Paramadvaiti suggested organizing a Nagar Sankirtan and procession to mark the 500th arrival day celebration. Prem Das Shashtri stressed establishing a Chaitanya Museum and Chaitanya Research Institute in Vrindavan.
Dr. Girraj Nangia of the Harinam Press was given the responsibility of publishing a souvenir on the fifth centenary of Mahaprabhu’s Vrindavan arrival.
Tamal Krishna Das from the Imli Tala ashram opined that there should be direct railway connectivity between Vrindavan, Nabadwip, Puri and other places where Shriman Mahaprabhu visited and spent his life.
Acharya Shrivatsa Goswami, Swami B. A. Paramadvaiti, Baba Ful Dol Bihari Das, Retired Justice Ajit Nayak, Bihari Lal Bashishtha, Vasudev Goswami, IPS VK Gupta, Om Prakash Brajwasi, Madhumangal Shukla, Tamal Krishna Das, Prem Das Shashtri, Dr. Girraj Nangia and many others addressed the conference.
