'Krishna stands for surrender. He says:
• Think of Me (surrender the mind).
• Become My devotee (build the relationship).
• Abandon all that you know and simply surrender.
• Don’t be afraid, I will protect you.
Surrender is what? Relaxed acceptance. It means that there is no negativity, due to this acceptance. Actually, it is kind of fun and an adventure. But the common human mind doesn’t like to be challenged, especially in terms of keeping in so- called 'control'. Our human way of functioning is based on programmes and patterns and if something doesn’t go according to that, it’s a problem. Why? Because the human mind is accustomed to limitations and that gives a delusion of safety while, at the same time, it gives a negative reaction towards the unknown, which creates fear and aversion.
Spontaneity is the name of life’s flow. To flow and to surrender means the same. And what surrender is, one can only really know once one decides to let go of the so-called 'security' of the mind and be open towards being aware and alive and then seeing what happens, especially with the so-called, and so guarded, 'safety' which the mind promotes.'
